Natural Science department plays a vital role in fostering the needs of future teachers, and also for the society. For this we started an association named “NATURALEZA”. We organize various activities and programmes like State/National/International day celebrations, awareness programmes, nature camp, field visit, seminars, workshops etc. Through this students can nurture their scientific attitude, creativity, critical and logical thinking. They can strengthen their inner virtues to work on to fulfil the institution’s vision and also for national developments. Department of Natural Science is collaborated with NGO’s like
- WWF international:-Participates in the annual wetland bird count and observes the important days related to the conservation of Nature and Natural Resources.
- ATREE: – Associates for the annual Vembanad Fish count.
- Kottayam Nature Society: – Participates for the annual Vembanad Bird Count and also for the various environment conservation programmes.
- Thanal: – Associates with this NGO for promoting organic farming.
- Tree walk: – Helps in identifying the floral diversity of the campus.
Natural science laboratory Attached to the natural science classroom is a wellequipped laboratory. It has all the necessary equipments, tools and materials needed for conducting the practical works connected with botany and zoology at the secondary level.
