National level seminar on Entrepreneurship development

The entrepreneurship development cell has successfully coordinated a National level webinar on entrepreneurship development for teacher educators, B.Ed. students and M.Ed. students of all subjects on the topic “transforming an ordinary teacher to an extraordinary entrepreneur”. It was hosted online via Google meet on 31 May 2021 from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30p.m.The key speaker was Sri. Jairo K James (CEO Team Genesis, Entrepreneur & motivational speaker). 250 participants from various educational institutions and educators across the nation participated in this webinar. The speaker expressed the broader scope of entrepreneurship by giving examples of successful entrepreneurs from different fields and their experiences on entrepreneurship. He spoke about the much needed passion for a person to become an entrepreneur and gave tips to overcome the hurdles faced by budding entrepreneurs .He also stressed on the budding startup culture. The webinar included an interactive session, where the resource person clearly answered all the doubts and clarifications asked by the participants. E-certificates were issued to all participants.

An outline about the webinar session and introductory speech about the resource person was given by the program coordinator Dr. Renginy K R(Assistant professor in Commerce). The presidential address and programme inauguration was done by Dr. Mariamma Mathew, the Principal of Peet Memorial Training College and ma’am invited the resource person for delivering the informative talk. Resource talk done by Sri Jairo K James (CEO of team Genesis, motivational speaker). Dr. Sony Mary Varghese (Assistant professor in Education) felicitated the event. The session concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Jisha Tharian
